Who we are

What we collect
When you book: your name, email, phone number, team size, and the date you picked. We keep this for 3 years for accounting.
When you pay: payment details are processed by Razorpay. We only see the transaction status; we never see your card details.
When you play: your display name, team assignment, GPS coordinates while the game is running, answers you submit, and photos you upload as clue proof. GPS tracking stops the moment the game ends.
When you visit the site: basic analytics (pages viewed, referrer, approximate location by IP). We use a privacy-friendly analytics provider that doesn't set cross-site cookies.
Why we collect it
Booking data — to run your booking. Location data — to show you on the game master's map and to enable geofenced clues. Answers — to check them. Photos — as clue verification.
We don't sell any of this to anyone. We don't run advertising. We don't share with third parties except (a) payment processing, (b) email delivery, (c) if legally compelled.
How long we keep it
Booking records: 3 years (tax reasons). Location trails: 30 days after the game ends, then auto-deleted. Answer attempts: 90 days. Photos: 90 days unless we've asked to feature you (with permission).
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of everything we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@asterisksociety.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in during a game. That's it. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies.
Kids
Our games are 16+. If you're under 16, ask a grown-up to book on your behalf.
